The right ingredients
When cooking or baking (especially the latter), one should foolow the recipe closely and ensure that all the ingredients are put in at the right amount and at the right time. After all, each ingredient has a specific role to play and if we neglect to include the same in, we’ll find that the outcome is just not right.
I was reading the book of Esther this morning. I love the account of Esther’s life as told in the Bible. In fact, there are 2 characters that I love to read about in the Bible – Joseph and Esther.
Both accounts show that no matter wat happens, God is still in control. Take the time to read it, if you are not familiar wif these 2 accounts (Genesis chapters 37 – 50 for Joseph, Esther chapters 1 – 10 for… Esther, of course!) I highly recommend it. Re-read it if you have rad it before (I never get tired of reading these passages!).
And another thing which struck me today when I reread Esther’s account is found in chapter 4 verse 14, when her uncle said this:-
“And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
Wherever we may be, God has placed us there for a reason and a purpose – your school, your Uni, your dorm, your house, your office, your work place, your town, your country, etc. And each of us are placed in a specific position/role too. We just have to realise it, remember it and when the time comes for us to do sumthing, we will like Esther and Joseph and allow God to work great things thru our lives!
