Kolo mee

I’ll be going back to Kuching, Godwilling, next month. (Kuching is the capital city of the state of Sarawak in East Malaysia). One thing which I’ll be reuniting wif there is the famous Kolo Mee – a type of noodles served dry mixed with oil, flavouring, fish cake, spring onions and mince meat. Yum, yum!

I was thinking bout this noodle during camp (yes, another post about the camp – and I think there’ll still be more to come! But no more elder bashing…). The speaker was sharing about a dry patch he was going thru.

It immediately spoke to me as I was goin thru a really dry spell too – ironically, I was still actively serving in church! I was a real “Martha”, too busy to find time to do wat is more important i.e. to sit at the feet of Jesus.

Andrew, the speaker, gave an illustration of a well – when a well is dry, there are 2 things that can be done. Either stop pumping water or dig deeper!

Wow, that illustration really hit the spot. Either I stop pumping water – just stop whatever I’m doing as it’ll be pointless to go on. Give up! Or the other alternative is to dig deeper.

Dig deeper.

I will try to dig deeper.

Ok, ok – I WILL, by the grace of God, dig deeper (since Yoda said “Do or do not. There is no try”).

Pray for me, can? I made 3 resolutions after the camp:-

1. Deal with sin in my life – not to flirt wif it anymore

2. Have a more serious and meaningful devotion life – really take time to pray and have a proper list

3. To go for Worship meetings on Sundays early and prepared.
