Sugar & spice

That's wat little girls are made of! Well, so we were told when we were younger!

Looking at me niece, I find it hard to disagree. But wat happens to them when they grow up to be a *gasp* woman!!!! (cue: scary music starts in the background)

I love the line Tom Arnold had in True Lies about Women – “Women, can’t live with them, can’t kill them”!!!!

Here are sum descriptions of women which i received from me mate today. Thanks SC. Dun take take it too seriously - have a good laugh!

Nothing new - but a good reminder for us men! Posted by Hello

Women - who can figure them out??? Posted by Hello

What is even worse is when women get into the role of a boss or a superior!!!!

Ok, ok, to be fair (before I get assassinated), I have enuf experience to say that it is most UNFAIR to generalise. I mean, generally, all generalisations are untrue… including this one?

In a span of less than a year, I have had opportunity to work under 2 lady bosses. One was a staunch Buddhist and another was a committed Christian. And they were as different as their religious faith were!

The former was a manager. She was a wonderful person to work under and to work wif. She respected me for who I am. She never failed to show her appreciation of my efforts. Sure, she worked me hard but I din mind. Working for such a wonderful manager makes the job so much bearable. I actually enjoyed going to work – and din mind staying late. And even until today, if she calls me for any help, I would gladly go back and help her out.

The latter was a sole proprietor. It was obvious that she lacked the leadership skills. The turnover rate at her office was high – no prizes for guessing why people keep on leaving. Word among other people in the same industry was that while she put herself out as a committed Christian, her work ethics doesn’t reflect that. She’d get emotional very easily and take it out on the staff. She’d expect the sky from her employees while she herself only worked at her own convenience. Worse of all is that she does not honour wat she says!

I’m sore about it cuz I just went back to get my paycheck for last month. I only worked for her for 2 months.

Before I started, we talked on the phone and it was agreed that she’d pay me RM1,800.00. After one month of working there, I got a checque for RM1,500.00. I asked her wat did that mean. To cut the long story short, I din wanna be too confrontational and I accepted that perhaps there could have been a miscommunication.

To avoid anymore such miscommunication, we agreed that I be paid RM1,750.00.

When I got the bank-in slip earlier, I noted that it was for a cheque for only RM1,500.00!!!!

What the…??????

And on top of that, she expected me to go back in to help her out this month. She can dream on.
